It’s a photograph, taken by National Geographic’s Frans Lanting, that captures the camel thorn trees of Namib-Naukluft Park at the most perfect moment imaginable. Click the image to biggie size for the full effect. That orange backdrop? That’s a dune reflecting Namibia’s rising sun. And while the trees themselves look like etchings of a dream, they’re a very real part of one of the country’s largest national parks. WOW NO WAY!

LAST NIGHT WAS EPIC. Seriously guys, Kings of Convenience and Jens Lekman were beyond awesome! I was at the front row, which made my neck hurt a lot, and we were on our feet for three hours straight, but I didn’t really mind because it gave me a pretty good view of Jens’ gold key pendant and Erlend’s green shoes. Hahaha. AND I SWEAR HE LOOKED STRAIGHT AT ME THRICE! I have witnesses! (fangirl mode) This makes me hate the fact that I didn’t have a camera with me even more, but at least I still had my phone to take crappy pictures with.

Please excuse the mushiness; I just got too amused at our work because it took us an hour to do in a place where we were surrounded with kids who probably hated us for taking their Lego pieces and with adults who probably got annoyed at this public display of affection. And of course there was an obligatory photo shoot with our masterpiece upon completion and a celebratory frozen yogurt afterwards. :)

in Bb 2.0: a collaborative music/spoken word project

Whoever came up with this is a frickin genius. Its playful mixes remind me a bit of Animal Collective and MGMT, only this one’s a lot more mellow. Have been playing with this for days now, it’s amazing!
